Week in the life

The curriculum focus is interdisciplinary, including concepts for how we live, how we communicate, cultural understanding and global awareness.

The aim of the project is holistic and fosters collaborative learning. It joins Elementary/Primary School classrooms globally with a view to exploring what life is like in each country through discussion, sharing and collecting multimedia to create final products together. These are then compared and contrasted and become the focus of further inquiry-based educational activities during and after the global project.

The Arts

Use voice and instruments to sing, play and arrange music from different cultures, times and locations, and improvise and compose music in different forms (VCAMUM026)


Discuss texts in which characters, events and settings are portrayed in different ways, and speculate on the authors’ reasons (VCELT274)

Health and Physical Education

Describe factors that can positively influence relationships and personal wellbeing (VCHPEP092)


Main climates of the world and the similarities and differences between the climates of different places (VCGGK081)

Design and Technologies

Intercultural Capability

Compare their own and others cultural practices, showing how these may influence the ways people relate to each other (VCICCB005)
